Dear Crown Pointe Academy Parents and Guardians,

The start of school is just around the corner, and we are hopeful for a return to normalcy in the 2021-2022 school year. At this time we are waiting for guidance from the Tri-County Health Department regarding the safest and most effective ways to operate.   We will be sharing more detailed information around these guidelines as they become available to schools on topics such as:

  • Arrival and dismissal procedures
  • Student schedules and lunch procedures
  • Masks
  • Parents coming into the school
  • Parking lot procedures
  • After school and extracurricular activities

We are also hoping to have a Back-to-School welcome event sometime the week of August 16th.  More information about the start of school will be available in early August.  

Elementary students will have testing by appointment on Monday, August 16th or Tuesday, August 17th.  Please see the enclosed testing information and note that attendance at these testing appointments is mandatory.  You may bring your student’s school supplies to your testing appointment.  Elementary students’ first full day of school is Wednesday, August 18th.

Full school begins for middle school students on Monday, August 16thNew this year!  Middle school students will have the opportunity to drop off their school supplies and pick up their class schedules and locker combinations on Thursday, August 12th from 4:00-6:30 and Friday, August 13th from 2:00-4:00.  These will also be times for middle school students to practice and set up their lockers.  We encourage all middle school students to drop off their supplies on one of these two days because regular classes will start on Monday, August 16th.

The following is a list of fees for the 2021-2022 school year:

  • Specials/classroom/field trip/technology fees for all students in all grades – $85.00 per child.  This fee is used for specials (art, music, P.E., etc.) supplies, additional supplies for your child’s classroom in addition to the supply list, classroom consumables, pencils and erasers, and this also helps to defray the cost of field trips and field trip transportation. We will continue to work with our school budget to keep fees as low as possible.
  • Locker fee for all middle school students- $10.00.  The Middle School locker fee must be paid and the agreement signed by the student before the locker combination will be distributed.  
  • Jeans (Optional)- $30.00 per child for the entire year on Fridays and some other special days throughout the year.

How do you pay your fees for the year?  CPA will be using CheddarUp.com to collect payments online using a credit card or eCheck, or you may still pay with cash or check at the school.  If you wish to pay fees online, there is a one-time fee of $0.45 for eCheck or a 3.5% processing fee for a credit card.  To complete online payment for beginning of year fees, CLICK HERE. School Supply lists are on the Crown Pointe website (www.crownpointeacademy.org) or available at the school. 

Jeans Day: If you would like for your child to wear jeans on Fridays and special days throughout the year, Jeans Day can be purchased for $30.00 per child for the entire year.  Payment must be received by October 1stThe week-by-week option is not available.  All funds raised go to the 8th Grade Spanish Trip program.  Any family who purchases jeans for the year will be given a 20 hour credit for two parent households and a 10 hour credit for single parent households towards your volunteer commitment hours for the year.  

School Store: The Crown Pointe Academy school store is ready to provide you with all of your CPA gear!  Please visit www.crownpointeacademy.org and select the School Store tab from the menu.  This will direct you to the School Store page where you can order and purchase many Crown Pointe Academy products.  Please see the CPA Uniform Policy for details on what can be worn during the week and pay special attention to the uniform basics and rules regarding hair style and color prior to the start of school.

Hot lunch will be offered again this year through the Boulder Valley School District beginning on Monday, August 16thAll breakfasts and lunches will be free for all students this year; however, we still need families to apply for free or reduced lunch.  To apply, CLICK HERE.  Please contact Sandi MacGregor in the office if you have any questions about the application process.

New this year!  STARS Kid Care will be offering after school care for CPA students starting on Wednesday, August 18th from 3:30-6:00 p.m. daily.  For information or to register, please call (303) 219-9515 or email info@starskidcare.com.  

Please join us in welcoming our new staff to Crown Pointe Academy.  Mrs. Lisa Gjellum will be the intervention and assessment coordinator; Ms. Lucia Santiago Seisdedos will be teaching elementary Spanish; Mr. Ben Silver is the new 3rd grade teacher working with Mrs. Sonday; Mrs. Brooke Webb is the new 4th grade teacher; Ms. Bailey Pennell is the new 5th grade teacher working with Ms. Ross; Ms. Krissy Bell will be working in the kitchen; Ms. April Humble is the new middle school math teacher.

Stay on top of your student’s grades with the Infinite Campus Parent App.  Go to the app store on your phone and download the Campus Parent app.  Enter Crown Pointe Academy as the district and your regular Infinite Campus username and password to login.  Contact the front office with any questions or to get your username and/or password.
