Our Mission: The mission of Crown Pointe Academy is to promote creativity, curiosity, character, and community in a challenging Core Knowledge environment.
Fall picture day is next Tuesday, September 17th. Picture ordering information was sent home with students today. To order a package, you can either return the order form to the school with your student or order online. All students must have their picture taken and each child will receive his/her school ID. Regular uniforms are required for all students. If you have any questions, please call Leslie or Trisha in the front office.
It’s Spirit Week at CPA! We hope you have fun participating in the following days:
Tuesday, September 10th: Time Travel Day- students can dress in attire from their favorite decade.
Wednesday, September 11th: Welcome to the Jungle Day- students may dress as their favorite animal. No masks or face paint please!
Thursday, September 12th: Comic Con Day- students may dress as their favorite character from a comic, movie, t.v., or book.
Friday, September 13th: Pajama Day- students may wear their favorite pajamas to school.
All outfits worn during Spirit Week must be school appropriate and fit the non-uniform guidelines in the uniform policy. Any student who does not wish to participate in spirit week should wear their regular school uniform.
To wrap up Spirit Week, PTA will be hosting the school-wide Pajama Jam Dance from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13th. If you would like to help with the Pajama Jam Dance, please sign up HERE. See the flyer on the CPA website for more information. This is a family event– all students must be accompanied by an adult.
The first Building Accountability Advisory Committee (BAAC) meeting is this Wednesday, September 11th at 4:30 in the CPA library, and we are looking for new members! The BAAC is responsible for reviewing CPA’s academic performance, programming, finances, and safety and then making recommendations to the Academy Board. If you’re interested in joining this important committee, please join us this Wednesday. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Ouweneel or Mrs. Keyes.
Please remember to record all of your volunteer hours and help us reach our volunteering goal of 14,000 hours for the year. Demonstrating strong parental involvement can help CPA qualify for grants and other funding opportunities, so it’s important that every hour is recorded. You can fill out the paper log and return it to the office, or you can record your hours online by sending an email to volunteer@
