Let’s talk about literacy! Literacy isn’t just about reading books; it’s the foundation for ALL school subjects including math and science. Strong reading skills are the best predictor for success later on in school and life. We need family support in building strong literacy skills, so watch your emails over the next few weeks on how you can help at home. This week, we are starting with oral language and vocabulary. Check out the slides from Mrs. Ashley Hubin, CPA’s interventionist, on how to build strong oral language skills at home just through everyday conversations. You can also use the attached Talking While Reading bookmark to discuss reading with your children to promote oral language skills. This can be done in any language! The Denver Broncos are playing this Thursday night, so this Thursday, November 6th will be Bronco Thursday! Students may wear a shirt or jersey for the Denver Broncos, and students who purchased jeans may also wear jeans on Thursday this week. Contact the office with any questions.
The CPA yearbook is looking for pictures from this school year to help make this year’s book great! If you have any pictures from class events, field trips, Back to School, etc., please email them to yearbook@
Crown Pointe Academy will be running its annual Food Drive from Monday, November 3rd through Friday, November 14th. We are collecting non-perishable foods, personal hygiene items, and household items to be donated to Growing Home food pantry. Please see the attached flyer for more information, and contact Norma Browner at norma.browner@
Attention 7th and 8th Grade Families: High School Information Night is this Wednesday, November 5th at 6:00 in the CPA library. Join us to learn about the high school enrollment process, different options for high schools in the area, and hear from CPA alumni on their high school experiences! The Middle School General Music class 1st trimester showcase will be this Thursday, November 6th from 4:00-4:25 in the CPA gym. All students who are in general music this trimester must attend, but all are welcome! Contact Mr. Garza with any questions.
Join us for the next PTA meeting this Thursday, November 6th at 4:00 in the CPA library. We hope to see you there!
The 1st quarter honor roll and awards breakfast and assembly will be this Friday, November 7th. Families of students being recognized were notified via email last week. If you have any questions, please contact Erin Keyes at erin.keyes@crownpointeacademy.
Join us at Chick-fil-a on 104th and Federal on Tuesday, November 11th from 5:00-8:00 for our Spirit Night Fundraiser! Chick-fil-a will donate a portion of sales back to CPA for our 8th Grade Spanish Trip. Be sure to tell the cashier that you’re with CPA when you order or use the word “Crown” when placing an online order so that we receive credit. Students should also sign in at the Welcome Table, and the class with the highest participation will earn a Chick-fil-a party! See the flyer on the website for more information.

¡Hablemos de alfabetización! La alfabetización no se limita a leer libros; es la base de TODAS las materias escolares, incluyendo matemáticas y ciencias. Unas sólidas habilidades de lectura son el mejor indicador de éxito futuro, tanto en la escuela como en la vida. Necesitamos el apoyo familiar para desarrollar sólidas habilidades de alfabetización, así que estén atentos a sus correos electrónicos durante las próximas semanas para saber cómo pueden ayudar en casa. Esta semana, comenzamos con lenguaje oral y vocabulario Consulta las diapositivas de la Sra. Ashley Hubin, especialista en intervención de CPA, sobre cómo desarrollar sólidas habilidades de lenguaje oral en casa mediante conversaciones cotidianas. Los Denver Broncos juegan este jueves por la noche, así que este jueves 6 de noviembre será Jueves de Los Broncos Los estudiantes pueden usar una camiseta o jersey de los Denver Broncos, y quienes hayan comprado pantalones vaqueros también podrán usarlos el jueves de esta semana. La Academia Crown Pointe llevará a cabo su colecta anual de alimentos del lunes 3 al viernes 14 de noviembre. Recolectamos alimentos no perecederos, artículos de higiene personal y artículos para el hogar que serán donados al banco de alimentos Growing Home. Atención familias de alumnos de 7º y 8º grado:La Noche Informativa sobre la Preparatoria es este miércoles 5 de noviembre a las 6:00 p. m. en la biblioteca de CPA. ¡Acompáñanos para conocer el proceso de inscripción, las diferentes opciones de preparatorias en la zona y escuchar a ex alumnos de CPA compartir sus experiencias! Hay junta del PTA este Jueves 6 de noviembre a las 4 pm en la biblioteca. Hay cuidado de niños y su alumno recibirá un pase de día sin uniforme si asisten a la junta de PTA.
La presentación del primer trimestre de la clase de Música General de la escuela intermedia será este jueves 6 de noviembre de 4:00 a 4:25 p. m. en el gimnasio CPA. Chick-fil-A donará una parte de las ventas a CPA para nuestro viaje de estudios de español de 8.º grado.
