The CPA-PTA will be hosting the Back to School Picnic this Saturday, August 24th from 12:00-5:00 p.m. at Crown Pointe Academy.  PTA will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, lemonade, and water.  All families are asked to bring a side dish to share based on the first letter of your last name: Letters A-C: Chips, dip, snacks Letters D-H: Salad Letters I-M: Fruit Letters N-R: Veggies Letters S-T: Beans Letters U-Z: Desserts This is a great opportunity to get to know CPA families and staff!  If you are interested in volunteering to help at the picnic, please sign up online HERE.  See the flyers on the website for more information.  We hope to see you on Saturday! Elementary Field Day is coming up this Thursday, May 16th.  Grades 3-5 will have their activities from 8:20-11:20, and grades K-2 will have their activities from 12:10-3:10.  Students must wear appropriate attire.  Please see the flyer on the CPA website for more information.  Please be considerate while parking for field day.  Do not park in no parking zones or reserved spaces, and please do not block the driveline or other vehicles.  Please use the lot behind the shopping center for overflow parking. Volunteer Opportunity!  Mr. Varner could use some help setting up for field day on Wednesday at 3:45.  If you’re able to help, please meet Mr. Varner in the gym after school. The CPA-PTA will be hosting a bake and snack sale during field day.  They are seeking donations of items.  Please bring any donations to the front office.  PTA is also seeking volunteers to help with managing the snack table.  To sign up, please click here.   See the flyer on the CPA website for more information. The end of year Awards Assemblies are next Monday, May 20th.  Elementary awards will take place at 1:00, and middle school awards will take place at 2:00.  Parents of students receiving certificates will be notified by email TOMORROW. Congratulations and thank you to Michelle Kline and Cindy McNeal for submitting their Declarations of Candidacy for the Academy Board.  Because there were only two declarations for the two open positions, an election will not be held.  Their terms will run from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2021. The Middle School Honor Roll and Awards breakfast is this Friday, April 12th at 7:30 a.m.  The Elementary Awards Assembly is also on Friday, April 12th at 2:30 p.m.  Parents of students receiving awards were notified by email last week.  Contact Erin Keyes at erin.keyes@crownpointeacademy.org with any questions. Proofs for spring pictures, Kindergarten graduation pictures, and 8th grade continuation pictures were sent home last week.  If you are interested in ordering a photo package, there are two ways to order. You can order online by going to www.ordervgco.com.  Click on “After Picture Day” and enter the code provided on your proof sheet. You can order by phone by calling (303) 679-9003.  A Van Gogh customer service representative can assist you with your order. The deadline to order photo packages is Friday, April 19th.  All orders will be shipped directly to your home.  Any orders placed after April 19th will include a shipping and handling fee.  Contact the front office with any questions. Report cards were sent home with all students today.  Please be sure you ask your student for his/her report card, and contact the teachers with any questions.
