The middle school band will have their winter concert tomorrow, Tuesday, December 9th at 5:00 in the CPA gym (music will begin at 5:30). All are welcome! There is a $1.00 entrance fee for each attendee (cash preferred) along with concessions for sale both before and after the concert. Funds raised will go towards the band program. Contact Mr. Garza with any questions.
Volunteer Opportunity: Our next Volunteer Brown Bag Pick Up is this Friday, December 12th during dismissal. Stop by our table, sign out a project, complete it over the weekend, and return it next Monday. This is an excellent way to get some volunteer hours, and it’s a huge service to our staff! Contact the front office with any questions.
The CPA-PTA is hosting Ugly Sweater Bingo and Loteria this Friday, December 12th from 5:00-7:00 in the CPA gym. Entry to the event is free, and pizza, hot cocoa, and cotton candy will be available for purchase. See the flyer on the website for more details, and contact pta@

CPA’s National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is collecting socks for our giving tree this year. Please put any donated new socks on the tree at the front office! Men’s socks will be donated to New Haven for Hope, and women’s, children’s and infant socks will be donated to Hope House. Thank you for your support!
Next week has some fun events scheduled for students! Please plan for the following:
- Thursday, December 18th: All School Pajama Day! Students may wear their coziest pajamas to school. Slippers are allowed, but all students must have shoes for recess and physical education. All attire must be school appropriate and follow the non-uniform guidelines.
- Friday, December 19th: Holiday Shirt Day. Students are invited to wear a holiday-themed shirt to school. Jeans are allowed for those who purchased jeans for this year.
- Friday, December 19th: Holiday Sing-a-Long and Band performance at 10:00 in the gym. Join us to hear our middle school band perform a few songs, and sing along to some favorite holiday tunes. Parents are welcome to attend.
The CPA yearbook is looking for pictures from this school year to help make this year’s book great! If you have any pictures from class events, field trips, Back to School, etc., please email them to yearbook@

La banda de secundaria tendrá su concierto de invierno mañana, martes 9 de diciembre, a las 5:00 p. m. en el gimnasio CPA. ¡Todos son Bienvenidos! La entrada cuesta $1.00 por asistente (preferiblemente en efectivo), además tendremos concesiones a la venta tamales y nachos antes y después del concierto. Los fondos recaudados se destinarán al programa de la banda. Si tiene alguna pregunta, comuníquese con el Sr. Garza.
Oportunidad de voluntariado:Nuestra próxima Recogida de Bolsas de Trabajo para Voluntarios es este viernes 12 de diciembre a la hora de salida. Pásate por nuestra mesa, firma un proyecto, termínalo durante el fin de semana y devuélvelo el próximo lunes. ¡Es una excelente manera de conseguir horas de voluntariado y un gran servicio para nuestro personal! Si tienes alguna pregunta, contacta con la recepción.
El PTA de CPA está organizando Bingo y lotería de suéteres feos. Este viernes 12 de diciembre, de 17:00 a 19:00, en el gimnasio CPA. La entrada al evento es gratuita y se podrán comprar pizza, chocolate caliente y algodón de azúcar. La Sociedad Nacional de Honor Juvenil (NJHS) de CPA está recolectando calcetines para nuestro árbol de donaciones este año. ¡Por favor, depositen los calcetines nuevos donados en el árbol de la oficina principal! Los calcetines de hombre se donarán a New Haven for Hope, y los de mujer, niño y bebé se donarán a Hope House. ¡Gracias por su apoyo!
¡La próxima semana tenemos eventos divertidos programados para los estudiantes! Por favor, planifiquen lo siguiente:

Jueves 18 de diciembre:¡Día de pijamas para toda la escuela! Los estudiantes pueden usar sus pijamas más abrigados para ir a la escuela. Se permiten pantuflas, pero todos los estudiantes deben usar zapatos para el recreo y la educación física. Toda la vestimenta debe ser apropiada para la escuela y cumplir con las normas de no uso de uniforme.

Viernes 19 de diciembre:Día de la Camisa Navideña. Se invita a los estudiantes a usar una camisa navideña en la escuela. Se permite el uso de jeans para quienes compraron jeans este año.

Viernes 19 de diciembre:Canto Navideño y presentación de la Banda a las 10:00 en el gimnasio. Acompáñenos a escuchar a nuestra banda de secundaria interpretar algunas canciones y cantar algunas de nuestras melodías navideñas favoritas. Los padres están invitados a asistir.
El anuario de la CPA busca fotos de este año escolar para que el libro sea excelente. Si tiene fotos de eventos de clase, excursiones, regreso a clases, etc., envíelas por correo electrónico a anuario@crownpointeacademy.
