Our Mission: The mission of Crown Pointe Academy is to promote creativity, curiosity, character, and community in a challenging Core Knowledge environment. Welcome back!  We hope that everyone had a great spring break! Report cards were sent home with all students today.  Please be sure you ask your student for his/her report card, and contact the teachers with any questions. The middle school honor roll breakfast and elementary awards assembly will be on Friday, April 12th.  The middle school honor roll breakfast will be at 7:30 in the cafeteria, and the elementary awards assembly will be at 2:30 p.m. in the gym.  Parents of students receiving certificates will be notified by email later this week. The Academy Board is seeking candidates for two open parent positions starting July 1st.  For more information about running for the Board, please see the Call for Candidates form on the website.  The deadline to submit a Declaration of Candidacy is Friday, April 5th. This is your last chance to order your Summer Bridge Workbook for a special discounted price of $12.00 each.  Summer Bridge Books are workbooks that students can use over the summer to retain their classroom skills and curb the summer slide.  The deadline to order is Friday, April 5th.  Please see the flyer and order form for more information. Are you looking for volunteer hours?  Stop by the cafeteria during dismissal this Friday, April 5th for our Brown Bag Pick Up event.  Sign out a project, complete it over the weekend, and return it next Monday.  It’s an easy way to get some hours and a huge service to our teachers!  Contact the front office with questions. The CPA-PTA is hosting a movie night this Friday, March 15th at 6:00 in the CPA cafeteria.  They will be showing “Ralph Breaks the Internet”.  Entrance to the event is free, and concessions will be available for purchase.  Please see the flyer on the CPA website for more information. Spring Picture Day is coming up on Monday, March 18th.  We will be taking individual pictures, kindergarten graduation pictures, and 8th grade continuation pictures.  This is a non-uniform day for all students!  Pictures will be taken in front of a green screen, so it is recommended that students wear solid colored clothing.  A proof with different background selections will be sent home by April 1st with ordering instructions, and your photos will be delivered directly to your home.  Contact Leslie in the front office with any questions. To celebrate Valentine’s Day on Thursday, students are allowed to wear solid red, pink, or white shirts, or school-appropriate Valentine’s Day themed shirts to school.  Students who purchased jeans for the year may wear jeans on Thursday as well.
